There comes a point where you have to ask yourself: what do I want to do with my life? And I'm not talking about how you earn a living to support yourself, I'm talking about the impact you make on this world and the legacy you leave behind.
Meditation has been scientifically proven to alleviate stress by countering this stress response with a relaxation response, leading to a decrease in heart rate and blood pressure and an increase in oxygen levels. It can also help manage your fear-based thoughts (hello, anxiety!) and the feeling of the world caving in on you that we all deal with from time to time.
It becomes physical - the feelings of apprehension and possibility that something bad may be about to happen. Most of the time I am able to let these feelings move through me, but it's been hard to shake these last few days. The thing about being out of balance is most of the time it's tough to recognize when it starts to happen.
